Yes this requires that you have some free time on your hands, and I know that none of us do, but I can say, that if you make these things, not only will your friends think you are a creative and culinary genius, but you will be the envy of your friends, who are eager to pin their versions on Pinterest.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Butter (that we threw in the freezer while the potatoes baked, you'll see why when you watch the video)
Chocolate Chip Coated Sprinkle Candies or Raisins
(*optional: Melon Baller)
HOW TO BAKE YOUR BAKED POTATOES:
Set oven to 350 degrees
Wash Potatoes ( I just like to give them a good scrubbing)
Poke 8-10 holes all around the potato with a fork (it might be a stress reliever! ha ha)
You can rub the potatoes with Olive Oli or Canola Oil if you want
Stick those babies in a cookie sheet and and let em cook in the oven for an hour
And for the detailed "cute-i-fication" you must watch me and my sister, AKA The Master Potato Cutifier at work...get your toothpicks, melon ballers and chives and come on into my sisiters kitchen with us:
Huge hugs and I hope you love this!! And PS. We might look like twins, but I'm the older sister! hee hee

Ellie was testing it out for him in the driveway, and to our surprise she actually could pedal, for about 2 feet!
I love being a mom. Sometimes I just look at my precious babies and think what an honor and blessing it is, to get to cook them a yummy dinner, to make them feel like home is the best place in the world, and that they know they are safe with mommy. Their hearts and feelings are safe with me, because it is my honor to be the one to protect them, guide their hearts and fill them with wisdom to help them through life.
I read today a quote that was a family's motto:
"We are here to serve others, not to be served". I love that, if more kids and families, even parents lived by that motto, we'd have a world full of people that were less selfish and spent more time looking for ways to help others!
As I prepared dinner, full of love to fill their tummies and to sit around the dinner table and talk...we like to ask each other about our best part of the day, to celebrate and look for the good in our day! IT's way easier to complain about our day, but we like to talk about what went right!
Blake and Ellie played with Ellie's lego cupcake set while I made.....
Veggie Nachos (Blakey doesn't like to eat meat, he's his own self-proclaimed vegetarian)
Nachos with Organic Refried Beans, Organic Chile Lime Multi-Grain Chips, Organic Mexi-blend Cheese, Organic (and Carageenan free) Sour Cream, and Organic Olives
This just might be the world's fastest dinner ever!
These were before they got a toasting in the oven....
And after! Our only complaint was that I didn't make a big enough plate of them!
And then as a little bonus, my budding "interior designer", stuck some Sugar Pill, cat stickers on the Pantry door, with lots of pride! They are still there as I type this! ha ha ha ha
And me and lil miss Ellie, did an Ellie's Favorites video that is up, if you want to go check it out, it's kind of adorable....especially the wig, see if it's up HERE!
Huge hugs from our house to yours...your virtual bestie, Kandee

I think I made a bit of a mistake. We always stock up on princess costumes this time of year! They are cheaper than buying them at Disneyland or anywhere else, and you can even get the matching wigs, if you have a little one like me, that insists on the wigs also!
Above you will see "Ariel" with her red "Ariel hair" wig.
And below, Snow White was reading to go have lunch with Blakey at school. She was quite a hit, and even the principal had to say hi to "snow white"!
Snow White had on her Tinkerbell Shoes, just to add some spice the ensemble.
Snow White is also very independent and insisted on opening all the doors.
All the other kindergartners really loved her outfit, the boys even said how adorable she looked! ha ha
And the night before Ariel having dinner at Panda Express.
changing wigs, changing dresses, changing tiaras, changing shoes....changing, oh not...not the gloves! We had a really hard time getting the gloves on! ha ha ha
But as we noticed.....a LITTLE Princess brightens up and brings A LOT of smiles to people no matter where we go. Many people said seeing her in her outfit made their day! Not only is Ellie happy in her princess attire but it's like she sparkles by adding smiles to people's faces all around her...well, more than normal, that is! ha ha ha
PS. And I have some FUN princess tutorials coming up on my youtube channel , (kandeejohnson) too! Get ready for fun stuff on the way!
Huge hugs from me and the princess, Kandee
And if you missed out "watermelephant" tutorial, come see my and my "not-twin" sister be watermeon-masters:

Ellie did not start the day of as Minnie Mouse....this just happened, as all awesome days should, were it gets a whole lot, Minnier!
TIP 1: When you shop with your kids you need to be ready to spend extra time looking and talking about what they like too. Having kids means less about what you want and more about being a good parent and giving them your time and attention too. Sure you might be in a hurry most times, but you need to always guide them in love, not yanking them around a store yelling! ha ha
TIP 2: Make it fun! Ask them what they like and then ask some more, "what makes you love that one?" or "which one of these do you like"...your little ones are there to have a relationship with too. That means you both ask questions, you show them how to be kind and respectful by how you talk to them too!
TIP 3: Make sure you keep an eye on their hunger and tired-ness levels, when little ones need a snack, are tired, or getting really tired of shopping...feed, them, maybe try finishing your shopping later. And later when they are big you will miss going to the store and having fun with your little ones.
TIP 4: We practice our manners, holding the door open for each other. Saying excuse me, instead of "move" (ha ha ha) and saying "thank you ma'am and sir". I tell them "thank you sir for opening the door like a gentlemen" to Blakey, so he learns that's the nice way to talk, like mama does.
I say, "thank you ma'am for getting me a shopping cart, that was so nice of you sweetheart" to my Alani who always gets me a basket or shopping cart.
*And we practice looking with our eyes, not touching with our hands. AND ALWAYS ASKING IF WE CAN TOUCH SOMETHING OR GO SOMEWHERE!
The way you talk to your kids is the way they learn to talk to others. If you are rude and scream at them, guess how they are going to learn how to talk to people, if you are kind and polite when you talk to them (of course there's times when you need to be more firm) they will be shining examples (most of the time, they are kids after all) of how to talk to people!
TIP 5: If kids are wanting everything in sight! I remind them it's just a looking day before we go into the store, and then if they really want something we say: PUT IN ON YOUR BIRTHDAY LIST!
That way they don't lose hope of possibly getting it, and they won't spend the day whining about it. We simply put it on our birthday wishlist, and by the time the birthday rolls around they 've either forgotten about most of it, and you haven't squashed their big hopes of getting that thing "they need"!
*And we are always "SAFE" by MAMA'S side! I tell them they always have to see me and I have to see them! A mom that just left her little girl on an aisle while she went to look on another one - well the girl was kidnapped, and I remember when Jordan was little, a toddler on the news was playing in a clothing rack, and some older boys lured the little guy away only to take him out of the mall, torture him and eventually kill him. I always "keep them where I can see them".
And before she was Ellie-mouse, she started the day like this:
She started off like this, well Blaker and Alani:
(Ellie has not been watching Miley Cyrus, the tongue sticking out it purely coincidental)
Alani's flower headband is from Princess P Jewelry)
Ellie and Alan's dresses: both from Target (Ellie's is "vintage" mini-harajuku)
Ellie's cat shoes: from Baby Gap
We went to go shopping for costume supplies for tutorials and Ellie got "Minnie-er" and "Minnie-er" as they day went on!
Ellie made calls from the phone booth...
Blake kept a look out for pirate's...
And the decorations are just adorable inside...this little fishing dock scene was one of my favorites:
These are the "coolest cooler bags"...which one would you choose: the strawberry or hamburger.
My 6 year old self, would have totally gone with the Strawberry lunch bag! I tried to google where to find these, but all I came up with was ebay!
I love going shopping with my lil guys, they love vintage and antique stores just as much as me!! They make me laugh, we have to take some breaks and spend extra time looking and talking about the things they love, lots of trips to the bathroom....
They were great! We went to Toys R' Us, Target, Home Goods and Whole Foods to get groceries... Blakey helps me weigh the produce, Ellie just wanted me to hold her, she did not want to ride in the cart..until the end, and Alani helps me get things and pull the cart....all my little helpers. Blakey carrying around his carrot snacks for school....
And I was so good and remember my re-usable grocery bags!
I'm off to go have lunch with my Blakey...he's still not liking kindergarten, but I've managed to go have lunch with him almost every day...my little sweetheart has be kiss both his hands before he goes out after lunch...
Huge hugs and sorry, this back to school business has really been making it hard for me to have time to write this blog along with my other blog and my 2 youtube channels, KandeeJohnson and Kandeeland!
Huge hugs, your virtual BFF, Kandee

And this was his precious lil' self on his 2nd birthday.
I took him to school, and my poor Blakey is still not liking Kindergarten in any way at all. Lots of tears that break my heart. I promised him to come and bring him any birthday lunch request he wanted and eat lunch with him and bring him cupcakes for his class...but he said he didn't even want me to bring the cupcakes, he said he just wanted me to come and take him home. My poor lil' birthday guy...
We are going to do something fun for him tonight, anything he picks to do and anywhere he wants to eat for his birthday dinner. So I'm thinking we might end up at Chuck E. Cheese! hee hee
And if you remember, this is what I "built" in my living room for Blakey's 2nd birthday...so anyone who's been watching my 2nd channel on youtube or reading my Kandeeland blog for years, might remember this:
I'm off to go write my KandeeJ blog, try to edit a video for today, before I head to get Blakey his avocado sandwich lunch!
Huge hugs and Happy Birthday to anyone else, who's birthday is today too, Your Kandee
PS. You can watch the video I uploaded yesterday to my Kandeeland channel, that I made with my sister too:

May I present to you, Ellie's outfit of the day...which she chose, entirely herself.
She came out, ready for church, wearing this outfit:
Tutu Dress: we got it at Marshall's
Minnie Mouse Shoes: Got them at the Disney Store in Santa Monica (and she insisted on wearing them on the wrong feet, alllll day)
Sunglasses on upside down, is the the new way to wear you shades, in case you want to be "on trend".
This little lady makes my day bubble over with joy and smiles....
Here she is in full Toys R' Us shopping action. On the Minnie Mouse aisle of course.
We were shopping for Blake's Birthday, which is tomorrow! He'll be 6 years old!
She wowed the girls in Sephora and the MAC store too with her outfit. Everyone was in love with her Minnie Shoes. If they made them in "super-big-girl" size, you know I'd have a pair too!
PS. On a semi-serious, blogging note, I have been deciding whether or not I should keep writing this blog. I think it might be too much writing both blogs, I don't know if it too much stuff I'm putting out every week. Maybe I will be consolidating both my blogs into one NEW website, I'm not sure....but I'll keep you guys posted and I'm sorry the last couple weeks have been a little rough, so I haven't been posting like I normally do.
Huge hugs and here's a hint of a video that's going up on my KANDEELAND channel on youtube, go subscribe to it, it's not my main channel, it's my kids-family-daily-life channel of videos! IT might just be the cutest side dish you've ever seen or eaten!

Happy 4 Day week!! To celebrate our Labor Day Weekend we headed to the Black Jack Nationals BMX race for Blakey to race!
On the drive to the races we'd crank the 70's rock songs in honor of my dad: Creedence Clearwater Revival, Cream and all the other songs that remind me of my dad!
In between races, we would go get shaved iced and Blakey would love up the flavors at the "flavor station"! Bubble gum and Tigers Blood were his favs. Mine was: Tiger's Blood, Lime and Mango!
And this was not our typical "green smoothie" breakfast, but I've got a soft spot for Rainbow Sprinkle donuts.
And I got to meet some awesome girls that watch my videos! IT IS THE BEST when I get to give real hugs instead of just virtual ones! Marquita had driven from Oregon for the race for her brothers, on her birthday! Her little brother and Blakey were the same age and rode their bikes and were running around together!
3 Days of racing...I can't remember which day this was. Lots of early mornings and long, dusty days! Ha Ha Ha
That's Blaker on the far right in the blue and white, just dropped from the gate! Some days there were 27 kids in his age group, and they only take 8 to the main race, so there was lots of qualifying races just to get to the main race!
On the last day of the races Blakey requested that we rock out to "Gangnam Style" on the way to his races!
Blakey was so excited, he peddled his little heart out...
and got himself a giant 2nd place trophy! Big brother, Jordan, also got 2nd place when he raced at the same Nationals when he was little!
as we were waiting in line to go out to race with all the other racers, other kids are looking all tough and mean, and my Blakey is telling me, "I love you so much mommy!!!"...and he said he was going to win for Grampa Barney...and I told him that Grampa was cheering him on from heaven!!!
I tried to blink away my tears, as I was sending pics of him with his trophy to everyone and wanted to send it to my dad...my dad would've loved this weekend and watching Blakey. Racing things has been in my family for years and my dad would've been the proudest Grampa there!
And our Vans our official "race shoes" because you get covered in dirt-dust!
Huge hugs and giant smiles, your virtual bff, Kandee
PS If you missed our last video from my Kandeeland channel, here it is, who do you think won, me or my sister?!
